Jessica and Mark picked the perfect day to get married! A beautiful autumn day, sunshine, breezes, colorful foliage and two people so very much in love!
The morning began with the bride, her maid of honor and few friends meeting at the Above All Grand Salon & Spa in Wexford. Hair, make-up and mimosas were the start to Jessica’s wedding day! And much pampering! Once at the golf club, Jessica, with the help of her maid of honor, got ready for her “reveal”!
Mark and Jessica had decided to do a “reveal” before they ceremony. This was a first for me, but it was so tender and beautiful! In the midst of the Cranberry Highlands Golf Course, there is a lovely wooden bridge. The bride and groom came from opposite ends of the bridge, meeting in the center, getting their first look at each other dressed for their wedding. A special, private moment they could share alone!
With a bit of wind rustling through the trees and across the bridge, I watched and photographed as these two came together on that bridge, Jessica’s gown gently blowing in the breezes. Their emotions were tangible! It was such a beautiful, intimate moment.
After the ‘reveal’, we had time for photographs around the golf course. With just the bride and groom and their two best friends, we cruised around the golf course in golf carts to our various photo opts. Fun time all around!!
The ceremony was held in an open air pavilion, a lovely country setting with the rolling hills of western Pennsylvania painted in autumn colors surrounding the friends and family who came to celebrate Jessica and Mark’s exchanging of vows. Throughout the readings and vows, the tender looks shared between Jessica and Mark left no doubt as to the commitment and love these two share! As they walked down the aisle as husband and wife, the smiles said it all!
And then the party began! So much happiness! So much to celebrate! Introduced for the first time as husband and wife, Jessica and Mark began the evening with their first dance. With candles twinkling throughout the reception, the celebration continued with heart-felt champagne toasts, delicious dinner, traditional cake cutting, dancing and so much fun! Though Jessica and Mark did not play nice when feeding each other their wedding cake! But they tenderly cleaned the icing off each others’ faces!
It was a romantic, emotional and absolutely beautiful start to Jessica and Mark’s married life together! I was privileged to be there to capture their joy and love and commitment! Cheers to you both!!!
